Dame Valerie Adams: More than Gold fundraiser Movie Night
UpsideDowns invites you to a night out at the cinema to see a spectacular local documentary on a Kiwi sporting icon! Candidly tracking Dame Valerie Adams’ heroic journey to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, More than Gold chronicles the double Olympic gold medallist’s challenges, joys, and heartbreaks balancing life as an elite sportsperson and a loving mother.
To make the night extra special, we have the film’s award-winning director, Briar March (also a member of the UpsideDowns whānau), joining us to answer your burning questions and share stories of her time with Dame Val following the movie!
Every ticket comes with a complimentary goodie bag, and all proceeds go directly to helping fund speech and language therapy for UpsideDowns members.
You’ll also have the opportunity to go in the draw for a spectacular raffle prize on the night.
When: Wednesday, 21 June at 7pm
Where: The Capitol Cinema, 610 Dominion Road, Balmoral, Auckland
All proceeds go to giving the gift of speech to Kiwi kids with Down syndrome. Get your tickets now:
